Thanks for the info, first time I had any problems with it in this gun, normally have it in my full size 1911, not sure if it was the mag or man.... before I send it back I'll run some more rounds through it.

If your having problems with your Wilson mag, send it back. They will fix or replace yours.
Plus, they have been known to send a couple extra mags back with your replacement for your trouble.

A bought a Stainless loaded model a few years ago, and it has been a smooth shooting and extremely reliable. The only problems I had with it were chambering some JHP rounds from a fully loaded factory

Not a fan. Springfield isn't any longer a true 1911 in my opinion anymore. Since 2002 for lawyer safe reasons and to beable to sell in California, They now have the locking device in the grir, even

I just put a down payment on one of these beauties. It's the Parkerized GI 3" model. I'm so excited. Can't wait for it to come in. I will post my review after I get it and am able to put a few rounds through it.

Perhaps it would be best to offer specifics as to which subcompact you are referring to? I assume it is not the XD?

I think this is one of the best looking sub compacts out there. How would you compare this pistol to something like a Kimber Ultra. I'm in the market for one and would like to learn from others experience.

Springfield makes a wide variety of 1911's. In my opinion all are good to excellent, depending on the model. If you are just looking for a self defense for distances of 7 to 10 yards or less, then

My Mil-Spec 1911-A1 is my favorite handgun. I have owned it for a few years now and it has never failed to fire, jammed, failed to eject or misfired. It has functioned as it should with every squeeze
